NSICT Pvt Ltd Container
|Dp World Nhava Sheva or Nhava Sheva International container Pvt. Ltd (NSICT), which is the first Indian terminal, was built in the year 1997 and in the year 2006, it was taken over by DP World and now it functions as one of the most vibrant container terminals in India. Being constructed at Jawaharlal Nehru port, it is considered as India’s best contributor to transportation needs and therefore, it has set a precedent among all the other container terminals and now others are following its style of functioning. Due its state-of-the-art and world-class infrastructure, it has bagged the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 27001 standards and it is deemed as having highest standard in the industries.
NSICT services for containers
DP World is mostly known for its inland container depots (ICDs). The ICDs are located at Pune, Nagpur, Ahmadabad, Hyderabad, Ludhiana, and the entire NCR regions. The facility in service is extended through two sets of railways sidings that give passage to highly well-organized and successful operations. DP world operates averagely six trains per day and 160 trains in a month. Known for the highest productivity of its berth, it has created a number of records in the field of its productivity.

i) It has an outstanding capacity of 1.5 million teus with 778 reefer points.
ii) With a total terminal area of 28 hectares, it operates on 25 hectares.

Being located at Navi Mumbai, it operates by all world-class standards and it has a 600 meter quay line, it is being operated by road and rail connectivity. Road connectivity is available through national highway and NH-4b and state highway SH-54. Running on two full length lines, it operates on an average 6 transportations per day.
